ain't nothing about it standard.

i very rarely open-limp on the button. i'd raise personally. i'd bet the flop, check the turn, and fold the river. i don't think you can count on villain calling the flop with air to take it away on the river that frequently.

interesting line though, and i don't mean that in a disparaging way.

I'd be so much more comfortable with 77 here... but I like it nonetheless.

Thats all I can say since I'm only slowly learning about the 55s.

I would definitely raise as opposed to limping. I seriously doubt that open-limping on the button is ever a good idea.

Pf: Raise > Fold > Limp.

Flop: Fine.

Turn: Fine.

River: Very read dependant, but I usually fold. What did he call you with on the flop? Think it's A high enough. I doubt it.

I like the river call, it's waaaay too big to be any sort of value bet. Had he bet ~125 you'd had to give hime credit for a 9 and fold. If he's a thinking player, i think he'd realize the turn check was done to enduce a bluff-- i don't know where i'm going with this line of thinking. I <3 river call .

I hear people saying raise, but I definetely prefer mucking it to preserve FE for bigger and nicer blinds. Playing a flop with this hand has so much less value than the advantage you will have over the field in 2-3 orbits. If you are a great post flop player (unlike me) this might be different, but then you probably would be playing at higher levels.

Preserving FE? Bloody hell you have 2.1k at 25/50, how much more do you need?

I am not talking about the amount of chips you have, but about your image.
I think it is absolutely key to balance the number of raises you make pre-flop so that you maintain the wrongfully tight calling/re-raising ranges of your opponents. If people are already getting pissed off by your blind steals as you enter lvl 4, you are missing out on valuable FE on lvls 5, 6 +. Thus, you might wanna skip a low EV raise here. Just my opinion, correct me if it is far fetched.

EDIT: Obviously, you will never want to skip an EV+ raise. What I meant was that this raise could be cEV+ if you only consider the time horizon of this hand, but $EV- in the context of the entire tournament. Forgive my rambling.

Honestly they hardly notice when you "steal" blinds at 25/50. When you start to do it at 50/100 they do more, but here it's hardly even enough of their stack to count. FWIW I would raise here most times, unless the guy in the BB was really loose then I might limp or even fold.
