HERO???

I haven't been at this table long and haven't observed Villain this session, but my note on him indicates he is very tight, somewhat passive, has passed up clear opportunities to make aggressive plays in the past, has checked A7 all the way on an A high flop in an unraised pot, and is generally an above average player for this tournament.

By the way, we are table 2, so there is no guarantee the big stack will still be on my left when we collapse to the final table.

If he really is as passive as you say, there is a good chance you are beat. He could have flopped 2 pair or something. You can fold and still have an above average stack and you will probably have a better oppurtunity to get your money in later.

Bump- I don't usually do this but I thought this was an interesting hand....

Anyone think I should have raised the flop?

It is interesting and tough. If he is as tight as you say, I dont see what you are ahead of besides QJ. Lay it down.

You really think QJ goes all-in on the river? I wouldn't have thought so, but I folded and that's what he showed me. I think I was maybe the only player in that tournament capable of that laydown, and I don't think his read on me was that good, as I'd have to have exactly KJ or AJ and be capable of folding it to make that a profitable push, otherwise I fold all worse hands and call all better hands. I changed my note on him a little....

I ended up winning the seat anyway, and I do think the fold was correct. I am wondering if a flop raise wouldn't have slowed him down. If I raise flop and make a small continuation bet on the turn, I can probably check down the river.
