bet the river with overpair?

stars $50NL 6max 5 handed - no reads on villain

hero is BB ~$105
villain is SB ~$45

call, call, fold. villain (SB) minraises, i make it $4 with KsKh. UTG calls, fold, SB calls.

flop 2 5 4 rainbow
SB bets 80 cents, i make it $8, UTG folds, SB calls.

turn 5 (2 diamonds on board)
SB checks, i bet $17, SB calls

river Js
SB checks, hero...

anyone bet this river? what range of hands can i put villain on given his line?

Re: bet the river with overpair?

I bet the rest of his money here. I have seen a similar line taken with 88-TT, that is, the donk min-raise pre flop, followed by the smooth call of the reraise, followed by the donk flop bet/calldown. The pot is bigger than what he has left, so put it all in. Sure he may very well have made this play with 22,44,55 or JJ, but I still think he pays you off with 88-TT enough here to make the push profitable.

Maybe if villain and I had $500 more behind I might check but in this case a push is pretty much the same as a value bet in my opinion since without actually doing the math it looks like he's got around $17 left in a pot that's over $50. I think if you check behind and he shows a smaller overpair you are leaving money on the table because I feel that if he's gone this far with it, he's not folding for the rest of his money.
