Push with nines?

2-4$ I post in first hand in the cutoff with 9TJKds. UTG calls, everyone folds to me and I raise to 16$.

SB and Limper both call. Flop comes 349 rainbow. SB checks, Limper bets pot and has 106$ remaining, SB has 72$ remaining.

Thoughts?

If your opponent has an OESD and one backdoor flush, vs your top pair and two backdoor flush draws, you are a 56.3% favorite. Lower that about 2.7% if you only have one backdoor draw.

If your opponent has bottom two pair, you're roughly a 45/55 dog.

If your opponent has a set, you're a 15/85 dog.

I think we have to fold this.

Very unfavorable flop even without numbers. I'm ready to exit immediately facing any heat. You can take a shot if you want. I'd be very disinclined to do so. More information could sway me more toward a getting involved direction, but I still don't think it could be enough unless it were really dramatic evidence.

Re: Push with nines?

Most players will check raise here with a set, since they will expect a continuation bet with a raggy flop like this one. Most likely he has two pair or a straight draw. So going all in can't be too bad.

Another factor is the blind could have a hand and have been going for a check raise.

I dunno how this is anything but an auto-fold.

Its prolly a 75% raise, a 25% fold...a lot depends on what you know about the bettor. Who was it, presuming it was Stars? This is one of those coups where you are only slightly better raising than folding, so I would also let meta factors have a reasonable say too.

I think your folding equity would be 0, so you are basically hoping for coin flip, and if wrong, becoming a major dog.

I would fold and give up your 4 BB

Re: Push with nines? Interesting Sub-question

I think the responses are interesting so far. 1/2 seem to think this is an easy fold, the others seem to think easy push.

Let's change my hand to AAJK, all other action is the same.

What do you do now?
