Tracking winnings and losses.

I am still new to poker and have been actively playing since May '05. My question is while tracking my winnings in tournament/SNG play should I just register my net winnings on my spread sheet (as I am currently doing) or post overall/total winnings from game? I understand my bankroll is like capital in a business so I am thinking I should just record net winnings. Example: $100 + $10 = $110 out of pocket. Won $1000. Do I record $1000 to spread sheet or $890? Thanks for the help.
