Its a common term here.

person 1: where you going tonight?

person 2: dunno, probably here until 1:30, there until 3, then afterbars at bills house

person 3: oh, cool.

I didnt realize it was a regional thing.

We say afterbar in Madison too.

On the other hand, we don't use the words "yo," "joint," or "ride" when inviting someone to them.
