Okay so this should go in OOT ideally but I really value the opinion of STT more.

Here is the scenario:

You go out to a Halloween party. You have some undisclosed amount of drinks (a ton). You are driving back with your roommate's friend and seriously yak all over her back seat.

Recently the person driving you home threw up all over your roommate's car and all over you. So, in some ways one with a machiavilllian complex could consider this payback. However, that is not really the 0point. The point is.....what is your move the next day when you are sober and able to attempt to remedy (or do whatever you can for) the situation?

Offer your apologies and humility. Offer to pay to get the car cleaned and/or do it yourself. (Do it sober). Make your roomate pay for this later if he did not take care of you properly in the last incident.

Don't mention the your payback thoughts. Those are for self indulgence only.
