My own wrong opinion, for what it's worth ....

I don't find PokerTracker that effective for MTT's. I use it almost exclusively for Ring Games. For them I think it is a useful tool.

I agree with many of the other posts that ROI is the single biggest overall indicator of success. WHile %ITM is also an important indicator, I think it is also worth looking at what I call %FT and %W.

For %FT, once you are ITM, how often do you get to the FT. IMHO, that number should be at least 25% if not 50% of higher, or there are probably some changes needed in your play just before and just after the bubble.

Also, %W is a key indicator, which I would define as the % of time you knock off a W once you are at the FT. In other words, how often are you closing the deal when you have the opportunity? If it isn't at least 10% (depending on mostly 10-seat or 6-seat FTs) then you are probably missing something in FT and short-handed play.

I keep track of all these numbers in an excel spreadsheet. IMHO, anyone who plays a lot of MTTs should be doing the same.

Just won my first big (2nd in a week) Multi. Stars $5/.50

23.5% ITM
55.22% ROI (the previous was actually -5.59%)

actually, its 15483% ROI... probably not sustainable...
