Somethingawful.com founder\'s presentation at University of Illinois

It starts off really slowly, and he makes a lot of stupid jokes, but his insight into what makes internet forums successful was very interesting. A lot of what he describes as the typical internet forum dynamics describes OOT to a T.

Good link I thought his take on balancing the very aspects of a forum was interesting and applies to OOT in a many ways.

I really like the part where he talks abotu gimick accounts, such as "Triangle Man" who would just make posts of pictures of triangles

Another interesting thing (I downloaded this at the end of work yesterday and am just getting to watch it now) is how he talks about one joke or catch phrase being repeated over and over...
