Well you can't fold right here.

Meh you might be able to with the Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] being filthy.

Nevermind it's not that dirty given the action. I'd call.

Your almost getting the odds to catch your two outer right there lol. You need to call and then maybe lay down on the river if its two to you... No way you lay down to one bet here.

I would think so. Why do you think you don't?

Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] completes flush, lots of callers in this big pot too.

Is this the kind of situation with huge pots where you only call the flop bet and wait till the turn to raise in order to maximize your chances of winning the pot?

Yeah but based on the action so far I don't have anyone on a flush draw that much. I think UTG's play is consistent with an overpair (inasmuch as he lead a turn brick) and I think MP caps the flop with an A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] type of hand. And clearly BB has a set, I think.

How many hands do you have on BB? Is he really that passive or it a small sample? He had to hit a set but this is to big to lay down. I would call down only because of pot size.

How many hands do you have on MP3 with his 0% PFR, or on UTG?

All reads were between 100 and 200 hands

Re: QQ and everyone likes their hand

Do you think at all about folding preflop against these types of opponents? PFR-5 opens UTG and is 3bet by PFR-0? Absent reads, or more normal TAG or LAG stats on the guys the cap is standard, just wondering.

If all those stats are for over 100 hands:

Fold pre-flop.

Would I have made a mistake?

I don't see how you can fold this premium hand pre-flop.

Somone that has a 0% PFR over 100-200 hands just 3bet an UTG raise. IMO folding is definitely an option.

I am tempted to 2nd Borodog here. Think of it this way, is he really 3betting AKs here being this passive? Probably not.

IMO against these kinds of players, I advocate calling the flop, turn and river until I'm clearly beat.

Players for whom the first raise you see in 200 hands is a three-bet of an EP raiser have AA over 90% of the time.

10-25-2005 01:31 AM

Re: QQ and everyone likes their hand

1. Big blind has any set because he would have had the odds to call preflop.
2. UTG is either AsJs, AsQs, or AsKs. (KK or AA possible)
3. MP3 has JJ, KK, or AA.
4. HERO should fold because he doesn't have the odds to draw to one out. There is a good chance that UTG has a big spade draw which makes folding the right place.

10-25-2005 04:17 AM

Re: QQ and everyone likes their hand

BB might have 2 pair, and you might cut him off with the board pairing. Pot is big enough to call down. I'll stay for one bet on the river, but fold if I have to cold call 2 bets. You can also fold the river if MP3 bets a spade
