**Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

Following in London Broil's footsteps on Empire ...

After 3.5 hours 4-tabling $1/2, halfway there with 500 raked hands (less than 700 hands total) and up $100.

was down $100 on NL50. Since I only deposited $200, I'm grinding the rest out at NL25. Still down about $75 with 700 to go or so.

or

"It's gone" ... you dropped more than $100 while clearing it?

or

Both?

After 3237 of the Empire and PokerNow bonuses I'm down $25. It [censored] sucks I just can't get anything going, I get up a bit then bob back down again, constantly hovering around the even mark. Its really frustrating.

I knew this thread would pop up. I didn't have a lot of time to play, and still need to finish the Empire bonus. Cashed in for $100 for a potential $50 bonus. 25NL tables and +$120 and the bonus. Good day!

513/1k hands..

KK has been brutal.. Fish just wont lay down an ace and they seem to find them on the river. Lost with them 8 out of the last 14 times ive had them.

These fish at .5/1 seem to just eat me up.. Dont have as many probs like that at 1/2... Or maybe it's just that im playing wrong lately..

Allin all down $95 playing .5/1.. Not good

I'm done with it (I didn't want to watch the Super Bowl, I had it on the TV and I mostly "listened" to it. Up $233 total, $133 playing .5/1 and 1/2 6 max. Took around 5 hours, I think.

Mostly 4 tabled 1/2 HE but some .5/1 omaha8. Finally got through up about $70 counting bonus. Did much better at Empire for some reason.

Re: **Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

Finished. About 1,300 hands at 1/2, 4-tabling the whole time. Ended up down $40, after being up as much as $80 early this morning when I began. The most hands I've ver played in a day, my play started to suffer towards the end of the last session.

Up $60 after bonus, not bad I suppose, would have liked to have been in the green. Only had AA 3 times, I think that's about 1/2 of normal, but that's poker. Still a good bonus.

Re: **Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

Somewhat off the actual topic, but looking for some related advice.... I went in for $150 ($75 bonus). I usually don't multitable, but it looks like the only way I'm going to clear the remaining hands (a little over 500) is to do that. I'm not sure I can handle multitabling 2-4 on my roll, so I'm trying to figure out how to maximize the 4-5 hours of playing time I have left to clear the bonus (I'd have spent more time yesterday, but I had a Super Bowl party to go to; my remaining time is estimated from my work and commuting schedule for the next 2 days).

I think I can handle 4 limit tables (I tend to get killed in NL cash games), if I am extra tight with my PF hand selection (so I'm not likely to be involved in too many simultaneous hands). Will .5/1 be sufficient in the amount of time I have, or should I step up to 1/2? Does anyone have any better ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

While I'm not doing the PokerNow reload because of lack of time, I have found that 4-tabling .5/1 O8 is an easy way to build up the raked hands. You generally see 5-7 people in the pot PF - most hands get raked. Just play tight and you're golden.

I would think 4-tabling .5/1 HE would be good, as well, just not quite the raked hand rate of O8. I haven't played HE on PokerNow yet.

Re: **Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

In the limit tables at Party (and skins) $1/2 has by far the highest percentage of raked hands so if time is of the essence I would play $1/2. You will not notice a significant difference between .5/$1 and $1/2. As magic boy said, "play tight and your golden".

Thanks; I'm a little clueless about O8, actually (I usually play HE or 7-card stud). What kinds of hands would I need to play if I did that? Would it even make sense for a raw beginner to play O8 in this situation? I do know that an Omaha hand consists of exactly 2 hole and 3 community cards, and that a low hand may not have any pairs (but straights and flushes are ok), but that's pretty much the extent of my knowledge.

Yeah, I'm usually too loose for my own good (trying to fix that leak, but still finding excuses to play hands I shouldn't, then kicking myself later -- sigh...), but I figure that if I am 4-tabling, I will be busy enough with good hands that I won't be tempted to play marginal ones. If you really don't have much of a clue, I'd probably stay away from O8 for this bonus whore opportunity, mainly because you'd have to play so many hands. I'm not going to get into all the strategy, etc., as you can probably find it on one of the 2+2 forums, but essentially, don't get involved too often in 2nd best hands and 2nd nut lows. If you don't have the nuts, chances are someone does, especially at low limits where many people play almost anything (think someone won't have the 58o to make a weirdo straight? think again). The goal is to play for a hand that can win both the high and the low, something like A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. There, you have a couple nut-low possibilities, a nut-flush, a nut-straight, and a 2nd nut flush. At the very least, I go for a really strong low hand with little high potential (ex: A234 rainbow, A223, or maybe A235 rainbow) or a really strong high hand with no low potential (say, AAKQ with an ace suited with the K or Q).

Ok, enough of the crash course.

I think you'll be cool sticking to HE if you are uncomfortable with O8 right now.

Re: **Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

Finally finished the PokerNOW reload and got my arse handed to me every single way you can think of.
If there was a way to lose a hand, i did it.
I made a couple of 2nd nut flushes.
I made a couple of 2nd nut straights.
I lost set over set.
Heck, I even flopped a nice boat (4's full of jacks) only to watch my opponent show me pocket jacks for flopped quads.

PokerNOW hates me and will not be getting any more business of mine for quite a long time (figure what, 8 months till their next reload?).

So, including the bonus in my totals, I lost $123 clearing (223 total.).

The only saving grace of this all is that while clearing the empire bonus (still clearing, got a few more hands to paly) I am up over $300.

Empire loves me
someone has to

I'm getting over 100 raked hands/hr 4-tabling .50/1 since my roll is spread out over too many sites right now. I think you'll be ok with that. Plus it's incredibly easy, so you don't have to put any real mental energy into it.

Re: **Official** PokerNow Reload Bragging Thread

Down 82.5 BB clearing deposit and reload and starting to actually lose confidence in my entire poker game, I dont have enough hands for my career to prove to myself that I can really beat 1/26max for 2BB/100. At least there is a bonus at the end of the tunnel... if I play 7 hours tomorow while still not skipping class. At least 3250 rakes hands in 3 days goes kinda quick while doing over 200 raked hands per hour.

well, i put it down. couldn't put enough money in to play my usual 2/4 game, so i decided to have some fun and play .5/1 o8 and HE. ended up up 35 BBs + bonus. woo.
