Yeah pretty much. You took a shot, which is fine. It didn't work. So call. Then call the turn and fold UI. BTW I think a 4 is improvement here.

On the turn, he's behind A high, and any pp. If a 4 comes, A high is now a straight... Or are you saying he can now represent the straight?

I guess it comes down to how you interpret "UTG seems to be getting a little out of hand." To me that sounds like he's raising 2x, 3x, and some random nonsense. Therefore, I think a 4 wins us the pot enough to c/c the river.

if he's getting out of hand then trying to put a move on him with 8 high probably isn't the way to go. He'll likely call with any piece and a lot of A high's on that board.

I think the only really bad part about the hand is 3 betting the flop though. Once you've done that, the turn and river bets aren't so bad.
