Great value here. Prior starting for the cubs, although he's battled injury all year and his last couple starts have been shaky, he owns the Pirates liftime 6-0 with a 2.48 era. Maholm has been money lately, last 4 starts, 29 IP with 4 ERs.

Neither team scores a lot of runs anyway, and I love the fact that its lowly afternoon game.

Always check which way the wind is blowing (this can be worth 2 runs in over/under at Wrigley). Today, it's blowing out, which cuts out a little value. I still like the pick though.

Oh yeah...Prior is also 8-0 with an ERA under 1.5 when he has 6+ days of rest.

prior blew, nomar hits a sure homerun with no rain...cubs find new ways to lose. its a miracle they lost that. bases loaded no outs with the closer wild. good call on the under.
