Me too I don't like the idea of a new skin because eurobet ring game players are much tougher than Party Poker ring game players / sarcasm

I like Dogmeat's idea (and maybe have some sort of cash prize option at a discount for the boring people).

I don't think prize funds (where your rakeback is placed into an account that can only be redeemed for particular events) would be acceptable. Except for the largest most trustworthy sites. I can see a scenario where a hundred players decide to redeem for next years WSOP and .... "well we started dipping into that money for marketing. You did want to be playing with a bunch of fish didn't you? I'm sure we can work something out, maybe release some for every 100 raked hands you play?" It is simply to tempting for a small company fighting to build a business. "We could go get a loan for that server upgrade or .... we do have a couple hundred thousand sitting over here..."

Sliding rakeback %. The more I play the more I want back.

If you have to ask, you probably don't play enough hands.

It depends. I think the term "high volume" is just being used loosely untill some sort of negotiation defines it.

I think that "high volume" is more accurately described as a function of the limit you play, not just a # of hands. Perhaps "high value" player is a better term. I think 50k hands of 10/20 generates more rake than 120k hands of 1/2.

We all have differing tastes and desires. Cash allows us to do what we want.

70-80% is not realistic. The sites would be losing money at that rate.

[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, no, they'd be making 20-30%.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL...Oh, so the sites are making 100% profit off us?? I guess they have no server, site, licensing, employment, or affiliate costs in their business. A business without ANY overhead...that must be great!

I should have been more precise.

A new skin would be created for high volume players.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, now we're talking some serious cash. Who's going to finance the new skin?
