bet enough to fully commit yourself by potting or overpotting to price out all the draws.

Why on earth would we want to price out the draws?

I think I like a turn c/c. Lead a flush river. Bet/Fold, check/call or check/fold is player/pot odds dependant on a blank.

Turn check/call lets him bet a lot of worse hands, and I think most aces look you up when you block river.

Edit: Added more than a one liner.

I'm not familiar w/ that game as I have only played nl live so I am curious of the following question. IS it common for player w/ villains profile to overcall a $24 bet pf w/ 77 (or 33) or A7(or3)s?

And if he had a set, or 2 pr., wouldn't you have likely heard from him on the turn when you bet only 1/2 the pot on a draw heavy board? W/ the pot at $459, I would expect him to try to take it down after you bet the turn if he was confident you were behind.

I think he probably had AQ and would be willing to call $200 on the river.

I think you can pot the turn as you don't mind taking it down even if he has only 3 outs and you have plenty of hand to call an all in raise for only $164 more in a $927 pot when you are behind.

the reason the river is terrible is because of your betting

when you think of a betting line, think of what youre trying to accomplish

personally, i would LOVE to be all in on the flop, and if not the flop, then the turn would also be nice

if you feel the same way, think about how to accomplish this vs a person holding an ace

Hello my 2+2 Mentors,

What do you do when you have ... lots of potential but no results.

I should note that I'm a losing player with AKs lately.
I've been going over the AKs posts on the forum and I think I overplay AKs by a wide margin.

3/6 600NL

Hero (18/9) (VP$IP/PFR) has $600. Villan is a winning player 30/12 who has me covered.

Hero has AcKc UTG+1.

I’m mainly here to beat up on the BadBB who is a 48/7 who is throwing money away.

UTG folds
Hero bets $24.
UTG+3 folds
MP1 calls $24 (no reads)
MP2 folds
Villan Calls $24
Folds to BadBB who calls $24.

Pot = $103

Flop

7c As 3c

Okay what do I do here?
I have 3 callers I’m in the worst position but I have TPTK and a nut flush draw.

I decide to bet the pot since I want to get the hand over with soon since my position sucks. Hopefully he BadBB will call.

Hero Bets $103
MP1 folds
Villan calls $103
BadBB folds.

Pot $309

Turn

(7c As 3c) 4d

Ok I got called what do you do here???

I bet half the pot (is this a mistake with TP TK?)

Hero Bets $150
Villan Calls $150

Pot $609

River
(7c As 3c 4d) 6s

I didn’t get my flush, What do you do?

[/ QUOTE ]

I check,

Villan checks and shows 77 for the set.

I'm dumfounded.

What is going on here?????

you're lucky he is a donk. if he had raised the flop, you insta push, and you're 50% against a set.
