I was at the rio yesterday and saw tons of jerseys lol i think they are pretty cool, the event yesterday was omha hilow 1500 buy in. They were tons of people at the rio, if the main event has that many people it will be crazy i predict 5 times that many lol.I also watched a 150 300 cash game with paul phillips he had tons of chips.

Hey Ace,

The $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low event had 699 competitors (I was one of them). It was the biggest Omaha Hi-Low event ever. First prize was $270,100. I heard from one of the dealers that the main event will be limited to 6600 people, 6000 to start and 600 alternates. The competition hall apparently can't hold any more than that with all of the tables for ring games already there.

That was the original plan. I've seen rumors, which I will shamelessly propagate here, that they will start with 6600 (3 sessions of 200 11-handed tables) *plus* alternates.
