Unless you are a gaming nerd, you should not because there is no reason to overpay for a computer just so you can play online poker.

You're pretty much giving Gateway 3 to 4 hundred dollars (don't forget shipping) for a copy of xp media center (terrible os, imo), whatever bundled software they load, and a year of support. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but you could do better.

Best deal out the is the refurbs/returns/open box specials at CompUSA Auctions. You can't buy the parts as cheap as those things go for. Might have to be patient to get the one you want though.

Also try the Dell Outlet. Just look for a computer someone custom ordered but never paid for. You can save several hundred this way.

Build your own or have a friend do it, Get [censored] and download Win XP Pro and all the software you want for free. That way you wont have all the crap they give you, its cheap, and you dont need that good of a computer unless your really into gaming or something.
