Pros and Cons of various sites

Hi All,

A little while ago someone had posted an analysis of ZeeJustin's PokerStars history and many people commented on the fact that one site is not an adequate sampling. Be that as it may, that is not the point of this post. Many people, including Justin, stated that their success rate on PokerParty and others was better than their success rate on Stars.

I'm trying to understand these statements. I doubt strongly that any of these guys will deliberately play better or worse on various sites, so what gives? Why would one site give better results than another?

Any light you can shed would be appreciated.

some people believe that they have easier fields at PartyPoker (i have never played there). that being said, I think it is mostly variance. Why does one player have more succes on Day 1 than Day 2? Same thing.

Variance.

A 100% ROI player could easily do 200% on one site and 0% on the other.

In addition to what has been mentioned, different structures may suit different playing styles.

Party tables are 10 handed - Stars 9 handed.
Party has no antes - Stars has antes.
The method of breaking tables is different etc......
