Did I make the correct play?

I'm holding AdAs in 3rd position (my stack=7500)....UTG (stack=8300) raises BB (300) to 600....I re-raise to 1800. Everyone else folds, UTG guy calls. Flop comes Kh, 7s, 3d. He pushes all-in. I push all in only to lose to his 2 pair....he's holding Kc3c. What do you think of my original raise, should it have been more, or is this guy just a plain idiot? The guy can't be the brightest...but opinions on the raise?

sounds like some thing that happens more often in lower limit games where people have less to loose and tend to play looser, but after he went all in your call would have correct unless it demolished most of your stack, especially in a tournament situation where people may tend to play more agressive, esp post flop.

I think your preflop bet was fine. Now, when he bets, the pot is 10550 and you are faced with a 5700 bet or 1.85 to 1 odds. You are a 2.9 to 1 dog, but you don't know what he has. I think the combination of the pot odds and the fact that you might be ahead makes your flop call correct too. Just a bad beat in my opinion.

Put him on your buddy list and play with him as much as possible.
