2 folds, Hero raises to $1, 4 folds, Button calls $1, SB folds, BB calls $1.

Flop: ($3.15) 2, T, K rainbow (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.5, Button folds, BB calls $2.5.

Turn: ($8.15) K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($8.15) 3 (no flush/straight possible)
BB bet $0.5, Hero raises to $3, BB Pushes, Hero ????

I was confused by BB's mini-bet on the river, and thought it was a blocking bet. after BB pushes, it seems he had a K. fold??? is turn check ok?

id raise more pf - probably to 1.5 or 2.

i'd come out and bet the turn for 2/3 pot and reevaluate.

ehh yeah, seemed like a blocking bet at first. any strong reads on villain? if not, i fold this hand. on a river that was 3-betted and villain being all in, expect to see a king or a boat.

I think the 4xbb raise is fine, this is usually my standard open raise in 25NL. Without reads I definetly fold to the push on the river..I would expect to see a boat or a K more often than not.

Your raise amount is fine as long as its consistant with your other raises. Or if you constantly vary your bet size but NOT to indicate the strength of your hand. (I vary my bet size PF based on 1. how many people in before me 2. how loose the table is at calling raises (if I don't want 6 people to see the flop, then I might raise more) and 3. my position.)

If the hand is played as it was, call the .50 cent. He's not going to fold a king and you'll just be throwing away money when you're behind.

I believe the better play is to bet the turn. If he doesn't have a king, he will fold. If he does, he'll let you know.

By checking the turn, I believe you lose all ability to bluff at the pot.

As played...you should more often than not just call the river.

In a multiway hand I like to bet at least the "pot" on an uncoordinated K high flop, because it is likely someone will have connected (don't fear KK; it would have reraised you preflop 9 times out of 10).

Barring any reads, throw out a "feeler" bet on the turn and check behind the river if smooth called - you are likely beat.

I think if you plan on staying in this hand, you need to bet the turn, and the BB will let you know where he stands. He checked turn, you checked. He very well could have a King, or interpreted your check as weakness. Betting the turn may allow you to check the river. If BB just calls the turn and bets river, I fold. If he pushes turn, you can fold.

Not betting the turn is fairly weak. Smart players look for scare cards, and can push people off of good hands, using the scare card to their advantage.
