Anyone know of any in depth stud high and stud hi lo websites?

I've read a couple of basic strategy ones but I was wondering if there was really good strategy site or will I need to purchase a book?

You can either say "no, sorry I can't help you" or you can help me. I don't know why it is so hard not to be respectful. I searched these forums and I spent a long time looking online, it's not like I'm offending anyone.

As far as I can tell, this is the best site/forum for strategy. As far as books go, there are some good references in the FAQ post, which is at the top of this forum.

Ok, thank you, I'm probably going to end up buying the book "7 card stud for advanced players."

when he said "what are we chopped liver" he wasn't trying to be rude. he was being sarcastic... implying that the site you are on is actually a very good resource for learning the game.

welcome to the forum. There's a couple of mediocre sites out there, but nothing spectacular. I would be more than happy to help you with anything you need. pm me and let me know exactly what you are looking to learn, and perhaps I can help you or point you in the right direction. At worst I can recommend some books and what not for you... but stud for advanced players is a good choice...

Ray Zee's "High-Low-Split Poker, Seven-Card-Stud and Omaha Eight or Better for Advanced Players" is a must read for Stud/8.

Russ Georgiev wrote a couple stud/8 articles a while ago, as far as I remember they were ok. Pokermafia.com or do a search on recpoker.com, I guess.

You'll find useful help and advice on this section of the forum. The only website I've seen is www.studstrategy.com.
