TPTK faces a nasty 3bet PP .5/1 6max

This is villians second hand at the table.

PP .50/1 6 max (5 handed)
Hero is dealt AcKh
1 fold, Hero Raises, 1 fold, villian calls, BB folds.

flop-7s 8h 9c
villian bets, hero calls

turn-Kd
villian bets, hero raises, villian 3 bets, hero calls

river-4h
villian bets, hero calls.

Sorry about no convertor, this computer doesnt have PT on it and I didnt want to look through 300 plus hands to find this one. When he 3 bet the turn, all I could think was "bad poker, bad poker" but called down anyways. i think the 3 bet screams JT, which im sure a lot of players would call with from the SB.

Am I ever ahead here? Does anyone raise the flop?

Thanks, and merry christmas.

PS-a quick question, what pocket pairs should I be raising UTG? should I ever limp with pairs in 6max(besides the SB)?

I play it the same. He could also have KQ, KT here, IMO. Though it is .5/1, people tend to be too passive there so you might be able to fold. I would still lead toward calling down.

In general you should not open limp PP UTG or at all really. There are spots for it. They're rare however.
