Weekdays vs Weekends in AC
 

Quick question.

I'm thinking about going to AC next Thursday night (I work weekends). How is the action on a Thursday vs Friday or Saturday night (when I have usually gone)? I've been playing 3-6 at the Taj, though I wouldn't mind playing 4-8 and the Trop.

3-6 games will be good any time, any day

How about the 4-8 at the Trop? I hear they have trouble filling tables during the week.

I was there the Tue. before Thanksgiving (was on vacation all week !). I got there at 11:30 AM and they had the following games going;

$2/4, 4/8 Hold Em' (2-3 tables of each, list of 5-6 for 4/8)
$1/2, 2/5 NL (1-2 tables of each, longer list)
$1/5, 5/10 Stud (2 tables of each)

By 3:30PM they started 2 $7.50/15 Hold Em' games, another 2 $4/8 games, another $5/10 Stud game, a $10/20/30 Stud game, and a $2/4 Omaha H/L 1/2 kill game. So I'd pretty much say it was a poker players paradise for a weekday.

I play 4/8 at the Trop all the time. They usually open a game by 10 or 11 AM during the week. Once it's open, it stays open. If anything, there are more problems opening a game on the weekends. Most of the regulars (seniors) like playing 4/8 during the week.

How are the 10-20 and 20-40 games at Taj and Borgata during the week? I'm sure they are a lot harder than the weekends, but how much harder? Are they filled with a lot of people who know what their doing?

I'm thinking about going down tommorow through Thursday...

weekends...more games, better chance you'll find whatever you're looking for.

Everything in AC up to 20 40 is exceptionally good all the time.

I work weekend also. I have found that the games are just as good as the weekends without the crowds. During the day the pickings are slim, but once the sun goes down the rooms fill with a pretty good crowd.

Mon- Hold overs from weekend around
Tues- The smallest crowds
Wend- Most Tournys during the week
Thurs- Folks start to come in for long weekend biggest crowds during the week.

I usally play in the morning tournys during the day, then switch to 3/6 after dinner.

I go down once a month maybe we can play together sometime.

So the next to lowest limit games are still good during the week. Is the action any better at the Taj than the Trop?

I wouldn't mind meeting up with some people down in AC. I'm going down with my buddy Joe on Thursday through Friday. If anyone is going to be around let me know. Phix, PM me the next time your going down to AC if you like.
