Dealer talking about hand.

Playing some 3/6. Dealer is fine except that after a hand is over he often says "I knew he had xxxx." or "I saw that one coming", etc especially after a player makes a bad call. I didn't say anything, but should I? Am I nit for getting annoyed by this?

You're a nit, but not because you're annoyed.

And no, the dealer shouldn't be saying anything about the hand. Simple as that.

You're only a nit if you're annoyed by this and you DON'T kick him in the nuts.

I don't like dealers talking like this, but you probably should not speak up about it since the truth of the matter is that what is being said isn't that bad, your playing low limit, its after the hand is over and in all likely you your saying something is going to make you look like a nit to the other players (And of course if you say something rudely like "Hey Dealer STFU" your not helping the situation at all). If it really bothers you wait for the end of the down and mention that it bothers you politely to the dealer away from the table.

The problem is that it illustrates how easy it is to read some people's hands or maybe how stupid it was for them to play their hand the way they did and now they're maybe worried about playing a little better. Also, if the players actually believe the dealer when he says this stuff after the fact, then it could make them uncomfortable. It's a bit unnerving to have someone sit there and read your cards hand after hand.

Every once in awhile a dealer will call my hand before I flip it up. Stuff like, "Show us the jacks full.." It used to bother me until I realized that the dealer was the only person at the table capable of reading hands at all.

Simple rule here--
After the hand is over the dealer should say.
1. You have been called---
2. Small blind -Big Blind (or ) Blinds please
Then deal the cards-----
If a dealer is talking about a hand, call the floor(or walk over to the floor) let them know what is going on and put a stop to it NOW

I agree that the dealer shouldn't be doing this,

But the reality is that in many of these LOW LIMIT games these players want friendly talkative dealers -- being the nit who complains about the talking dealer is going to kill the action in the game.

This is correct. The dealers talk when they shoudlnt' be becasue it the non serious palyers tip better for the entertainment, they dont' know that this dealer is doing them a disservice by talking.

Ive seen this too. Some good poker player dealers will throw their "I knew he had that" in at the end.

It doesnt really bother me though
