Anyone use teasers to move line from 7.5-8.5 to 1.5-2.5?

Seems like a parlay with better pay. Since most games are decided by 3 points or more these seem good to me, especially pro.

Anyone know about this. I am sure it is flawed somehow, but would like thoughts.

Thanks,

Don't listen to these guys.

The way you're playing teasers is 100% correct. Just stick to the NFL, not college. And home teams do better. And find a book that pays even money for a two-teamer. You'll mop up.

Last week, there were three of these games on the board. Pittsburgh and New England cruised. Carolina went down, only because they threw two TD passes at the end of the half, but both were disallowed when the receiver stepped out of bounds before catching the ball (I guess they must practice on a wider field, or something). They came away with 0 points on that drive, and lost the game by 3.

Last year wasn't so great. The year before I cashed 58% of my teaser bets. This is strong when laying -110, and downright lethal when getting even money.

I am not too far off base I guess.

In general teasers are a sucker bet with a house edge of 9% to 43%. However if you can cross both the 3 and the 7 point margin of victories then 6-point NFL teasers can become a good bet.

There are only a dozen numbers to tease in the NFL and even then you need to make sure you pick the right games. A favorite giving 7.5, 8 and 8.5 are 3 of these numbers actually. Last word though -- BEWARE. It's rare to have many good tease games come up in same week during the season, especially early on.

Ding Ding Ding.

Its called basic strategy teasers. Cross both the 3 and the 7 with BOTH teams and you have a very nice edge. Some people do it blindly (every team that falls into parameters) while others are selective of the teams they choose. There are a few +100 books out there to even sweeten the deal further. Just remember, if your NOT gettign the 3 and the 7, you are not getting the best of it.
