you can't become RPS champion on a whim, a dream, and $40 for a super satellite. come on this isnt the WSOP.

$20 to enter, $250 or so for airfare, few days hotel split amongst the rest of Team DC ($70ish), a lot of drinking (say $200 in bar tabs?)... That works out to about $540 or so, no super-satellite needed, for a shot at the first prize of $10,000(Canadian).

So if I win, I break even. Sweet.

is coaching allowed? if so, your best bet is to get as stinking drunk as necessary in order to become unreadable. then, you have a coach who is a good reader giving you signals after discerning which way the other guy is going.

I do this in poker all the time. In all likelihood it's the same tactic I will try in Toronto. It never works well though.
