When I was about 12 I sent out some baseball cards and SASE's in the mail, asking for my favorite players to sign them and send them back. Out of the big stack I sent out, I received signed cards back from only Kenny Lofton and Mike Mussina. Did they really sign them, or was it just an assistant that did it for them? Who cares. They went out of their way for me, and for that, I'll always be a Lofton/Mussina fan, even when they don't pwn anymore.

Good for Lofton and Mussina. What's more important: what they do on the field or what they did for you? It's no contest as far as I'm concerned.
