Plugging the leaks
 

I have been playing about 6 weeks at Party $10 PLHE sng. My HE experience is about the same. I had good results for the first 30 games then I have settled down to a roi of about
%25. Since the beginning I have read two books and read the 2+2 forum daily. I guess I could post problem hands but the ones you lose are problems and even though you have played them badly the winners are not a problem. So I am thinking there is a problem with my overall play. To weak to aggresive to tight. Where do I start to examine my game?I feel that I m playing okay but my results tell me otherwise

If you're going out early then you could be playing too loose. If you're getting blinded out in the later stages then you are probably playing too tight.

Personally whenever I start losing it's usually because i've started to play too loose again. Ocaisionaly I go down a limit and play an all in or nuttin game which is just about as tight and agressive as i can imagine. That usually sorts my head out.

post some hands - just the act of writing them and thinking through all the possible options really helps.

I often write a post about a hand, sometimes quite a long one. Then by the time I have finished writing it, it is clear in my mind that there really is only one possible answer. So I don't even bother posting it, i just delete it.

Doesn't mean that it wasn't worth me writing!

Most of the time poker is won and lost on a few key hands. Sometimes these are real close decisions, sometimes these are hands that you should not even be in. Either way thinking about and improving the way you perform in these most important hands is where improvement comes. The hands which are "important" depends on how good you are.
I have been playing for two years now - not very long - but I look at how much I have learnt about the game and it is seems like forever! Experience counts for a lot, it is hard to think about the finer details of the game until the broader areas of the game are completely second nature.

Get poker tracker, it kicks too much bottom as far as providing a facility to look back at hands you played to sit on the shelf. (cyber-shelf, whatever)

The idea of writing the hands down aswell is a good one, writing stuff down stimulates the mind
