KK in SB - Line check

Villian in this hand is pretty loose-passive with a preflopraise of 9% and have seen 40% of the flops after about 50 hands.

Its my 2nd orbit for the session so I dont have much of an image yet.

I just want to check my line. Comments on all streets are appreciated.

Re: KK in SB - Line check

Well I would raise more preflop for sure. I would have 2/3 potted the flop, c/c turn, c/c river all-in.

As played I think it is somewhat likely he has a queen. Oh well, raise more preflop next time.

Re: KK in SB - Line check

On the river Villian only had 137 left and it was 275 in the pot, so I made a bet of 150 and he called all-in.

EDIT: You edited the post so this doesnt make sence. [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Yeah my edit reflects that. I would get more in preflop to realistically push the flop without much of an overbet. You want him to make a heroic call with JJ or TT on that board thinking you have AK.

Villain shows aces? lol

On the river i'm inclined to c/c...give him an opportunity to bet his queen if he has it, or shoot off some kind of bluff, or whatever it may be.

I may be less on river to get call from AQ (no spade), but well played anyway.

Villian had A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and I won the pot with my king high flush.

More comments are very welcome on the hand.

Only part I dont like is the turn. I would of bet it if I had the lack of respect you seem to have for this guy. (with good reason)

A check would of probably been safe on the river, The Js was a perfect card to call with. If he had just a queen, he might fold where if you checked he'd probably push.

I really like the villians line here.
Calling the re-raise preflop was nice, but the call he made on that flop was spectacular...

I like the river. People tend not to "bluff" with good made hands like a Q or a smaller flush in this spot, but these types of hands will call your bet. His smallish bet on the turn makes me think that he doesn't have air. I like everything except flop, where I'd bet more.
