Deep stack games in Vegas

Alright, so I'm turning 21 on Wednesday. On Thursday morning I'm going to Vegas.

I'm probably going to be bringing about 15k and am most interested in playing any kind of no capped buy in games.

I've heard the Wynn has a 1/2 no cap game, but I also heard that it's a nit fest (although since it'll be the New Year I'm sure there'll be some gambooolers).

I'm looking to play anything from 1/2-5/10 (Maybe 10/20 if the game is particularly juicy, although I have not played that big yet).

I'm also bringing two friends (who I'll probably roll for a few hundred each...they know how to play but they are 'normal' college students) and I want them to have a good time, and be able to play in some good 1/2 nl capped games. Or less if that's available.

Can someone give me a casino/cardroom or two in Vegas that would fit these requirements?

Help much appreciated!!!

The Wynn has 1/3, 2/5 and 5/10 that are not capped and get a 10/20 going from time to time.

The 1/3 generally doesn't play that deep, most people are buying in for $300, so it should be fine for your friends.

The 2/5 and 5/10 tend to play quite a bit deeper.

The Bell has a 10/20 no cap and capped lower NL.

the downtown poker rooms do not have max buy-ins on their no limit tables. they all had 1/2nl, and would open a 3/5 if there was interest. That was in July though so i'm not a vegas expert, but i doubt they've changed the no max buy-in.

So let me get this straight. You are turning 21, are coming to Vegas with 15 large looking to play uncapped high stakes no-limit and you are posting on this message board as to where you should play??

You haven't done your homework junior. You will be eaten alive.

the 2-5 or 5-10 at the Wynn or the 10-20 at the Bellagio are your best choices for uncapped buyin. stick your friends at the 1-3 at the Wynn. the lower buyin at the bellagio sucks, its 2-5 with 200 min/max buyin.

i cant tell if i'm laughing with you or at you, but lol.

josh i dont know the answer to the uncapped deal but you have to check out the 2/5 at the mirage, always a great game when i was there though i didn't discover it til late into the trip.

I will do that, thanks.

It will suck if I get eaten alive, though. I'm borrowing this money from my mom and if I lose it we'll have to sell the house.

I also just bought HEPFAP the other day and have gotten about halfway through it, so I have a feeling I might be able to win in Vegas.

Just check-raise flops with draws so you can see a free showdown...

Thanks, Percula.

Bugstud just told me about the Wynn, and I'm pretty pumped about playing in their 5/10 game now.

Seeing how I do at the Wynn I definitely want to check out Bellagio, too.

Maybe I'll stick my friends at the limit games. Is 2/4 the lowest they spread in Vegas?

There you go bro. Just buy in for 15 dimes and make it $300 to see any flop and you should be running the table in no time.
