Two Plus Two Older Archives - My 1000th post...Content within...

I normally post over in OOT or post to flame some new guy but I wanted this post to be meaningful...

Ok where to begin...I started looking around here back in Feb. when a buddy of mine told me about this place but it was until a few months back that I started to "get it" when it comes to poker.

I have been playing pojker now for about 2 1/2 years now and been through quite a bit. I started my online career at Party like most here I would think and deposited the min. 50 bucks through IGM. I quickly lost that and bought in another 50. I lost that pretty quick as well. So I went back to my local home game where a few of my frat brothers play at and we all thought we were the [censored]. But I held my own there playing. Then one night there was a new face at the table. This guy was pretty good I said. I noticed how he played and took money home everytime we played. I actually didnt like him much to begin with but I swallowed my pride some and asked him to teach me some things. He was a winning small stakes player online and he showed me some things that I was doing wrong and show me this website. From there I made a 200 dollars deposit online and started playing some more. I had some short term success but then kind of leveled off playing break even poker for a while. I have not lost this last 200 I put in but I have made a few withdrawls since then for that much in case you were wondering.

Earlier this year we made our first trip to a Casino in Tunica where we stayed at the Gold Strike. We played some 1/2 NL and 3/6 limit. I didnt have much success at the 1/2 tables as I was playing break even there but then we entered a tournament, there I placed 4th and took in about a 1K. I later made some profit at 3/6 as did he. Our trip was free and what a life it would be to live like that.

Shortly after our trip I went on a huge run as I was playing very well and had lots of confedence going then. However, that was short lived as I had a really bad run and went back to my old ways of playing break even poker. I decided I would play the weekly 2+2 game on Stars and that is where I met KilgoreTrout. I felt as if he sucked out on me and I went off on him. I "flamed" him pretty bad but I was just feeling sorry for myself. He then did something that I wouldnt expect. He asked me to PM him and tell him what was going on. So I did. We talked for a while through PM and then he asked for one of my Hand Histories which I shared with him and he reassured me that I was a solid player and gave me a few tips. Since then I have been playing very well. Cash games, tournies ect. I want to thank 2+2 for being here and allowing people like KilgoreTrout to post here.
