Apartment key bad beat
 

I got home late last night. I pulled out my apartment key (which wasn't on the key chain because I had foolishly removed my keys because I was just at the auto repair shop). I dropped it and it somehow bounced UNDER the door into my apartment. I tried unsuccessfully to fish it out with a credit card.

I ended up having to drive to a friend's house who has a spare key.

Today, I tried purposefully bouncing/throwing the key under the door. I couldn't even really get close to getting it under the door.

Reminds me of a story a friend told about being really drunk and driving fast, cresting a hill and seeing a narrow street packed tight with cars on either side. He couldn't believe he got through, and says when he did it slowly just to see, he couldn't do it without bumping and scraping several times.


Decent story anyway.
