yes obviously, maybe i wasn't clear...i didn't mean of any single poster...i meant of all of us collectively. what are the odds we'll be here in two weeks amazed that a regular contributor to this forum (or another on 2+2) will be the winner.

How many 2+2er's are playing? I think y'all have a better than average chance, but I doubt there's more than 2% of the field from 2+2, so 5% is about right.

Its simply: (# of 2+2ers in/6600)*(1+% of the field they are better than)

Easily less than 5%

How do you define regular contributor? e.g. Paul Phillips and Daniel Negreanu don't have many posts (I don't think), but they've been here and contributed.

If you mean, like 1,000 posts or more, then surely the answer is <5%. If you mean anyone with at least, say, 10 posts, I'd put the percentage at >5%. Because that's a lot of good players.

wow ok, so everybody thinks that Fossil winning last year was just a fluke? A real lucky shot?

I'm assuming this years winner is gonna be a very skilled unknown internet qualifier, simply because that class of people will make up the majority of entrants...and i am further assuming that 2+2 contains a great deal of the cream from the internet crop of players...so i pegged it at 10-25%.
