Hourly Rate Question

I am going to put $1000 in my Party Poker account and im going to 4 table the 200NL game. With that said, what would be a good/expected hourly rate given that information?

Thanks

Re: Hourly Rate Question

If you don't know the answer to this question you probably shouldn't be playing that limit... especially with your super small bankroll.

How much do you have already? I hope its alot cause 1k is only 5 buyins. Multitabling especially is gonna eat that [censored] up. no point in jumping into a big game without the roll.

Re: Hourly Rate Question

My bankroll is 25k. I am only putting a grand to begin with so I dont go crazy online and loose it. So I got 25k behind me, but only one grand online.

Re: Hourly Rate Question

It doesn't really matter how much you have behind you since you are only willing to risk $1000 (so you don't "go crazy").

This is terrible advice. If you are willing to lose 25k, but maybe want to put some sort of delay involved in losing it all (trying to jump to a NL 2000 game when you know you shouldn't), this is fine. As long as you realize there's a pretty decent chance you'll lose the 1k, and you are fine with it, go for it.

Re: Hourly Rate Question

I think that it is funny that no one asked if you know how to play. If you can make $15-20 per hour I would say you are doing well. Remember that that game will lead to volatility in your bankroll, but 25K is plenty. If you are down more than 2K consider moving to a smaller game. The $200 buyin game is where you start to see some ability in your opponents. Good Luck!!!

Re: Hourly Rate Question

I am good. Dont worry about my skill. I am just new to the online realm of poker and want to know what kind of hourly rate I can expect by 4 tabling 200NL. Disregard anything about the bankroll etc., I just want to know what kind of hourly rate i sould be striving for!

Thanks again sorry for the confusion

Re: Hourly Rate Question

I am playing this limit and the one below (not on party) and my hourly rate is between $15-$23 per hour. I only 2 or 3 table though. If you are new to online, make sure you are comfortable two-tabling first. Then move to 3-tabling, get comfortable with the speed and your performance, and then go to 4-tabling.
