QTs is for mutts

Typical 9-handed Party 15/30 game but no specific reads. 4 folds to you in MP where you're 4 off the button. You hold QTs.

Fold, call or raise?? And is it close?

How about 55 in the same spot?

I would raise, and if re-raised, would cap with both of those hands. Then when the flop comes, I would unleash a relentless assault of bets and raises.

You play good.

QTs is my worst performing hand of all. Wasted too much money voluntarily with it...so, I muck it and smile, thinking of all the money I just saved.

if i played QTs i'd call and if i played 55 i would raise. i like QTs a lot better in that situation though. i'd usually play it, and usually fold 55.

hm...interesting...just the opposite for me.

If I played QTs (and I just about always would), I would openraise. If I played 55 (which I would nearly always play live but only seldom online), then I would sometimes limp but usually raise).

I agree that Qts is better than 55 in this spot.

If I thought I could rob the blinds or get it head up, i usually open raise these hands. If there are tough aggressive players behind me I fold. If on the rare occasion I open limp from MP, it's because the rest of the table behind me is of the loose passive nature.

I won't play 55 here with no reads on the blinds, but I am tighter in this situation than alot of people. QTs I would have to raise with just so K10, KQ, JQ, a10 etc.. wouldn't come along. I think that outweighs trying to build a multi-way pot. If someone is coming in behind you, there is a good chance they are going to pop it.

i recently figured out on here that if you play just AA-TT, AK, and AQs you will win on party. this does not count the blinds which you must play carefully and well. that's all.
