Why don't we just bring this rakeback thing out into the open?

Being honest is not good.
I've been honest all the time and then I get mails from my affiliate manager saying I should post it on 2+2

it'll also force people to up their offers...

we should have an affiliate "fair" where anyone with X # of posts (something like 500, to prevent dishonesty) or someone who can back him up, can post offers. I don't see anything wrong with solicited spam.

Bingo, that's the whole idea. I am sure poker players as a whole are not getting their fair share and the affiliates are making out like bandits. I want to see the entire poker playing population getting as much back as is possible.

I believe there should be a spam forum at 2+2, just as there is at many other gambling/poker sites.

This stuff needs to be brought out into the open.

what's to stop people from having a friend, or even themselves under an alias, solicit the spam?

the day that offers are allowed on the open forum is the day i stop paying for banners here. if that's the future, so be it. however, i'll be damed if i am going to pay for something that others are getting for free.

if someone wants to post their offers, they should list them in a classified or buy a banner that links to a chart (or whatever).

I'm fine w/this idea, in fact, how about the following suggestion:

Someone should start a site, and have it list each site's affiliates and include the following information:
Rate:
Method of tracking: (tracker provided by the site, PTracker screenshot, whatever)
Reliability rating:
Contact info:

Each affiliate pays $X/month to be listed, but the site owner stays objective. Then, when someone asks for a rake rebate here, all we have to do is say "go check out rakerebateanalysis.com."
