(2/4) 99 with overcard pair on flop
 

I usually play tourneys and nl but have been playing limit a little lately to mix it up. So i have 99 here and I'm wondering if I'm too aggressive with it or what a better line might be although I didn't hate the way I played it.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $2. MP1 posts a blind of $2.
UTG (poster) checks, Hero calls, MP1 (poster) checks, MP2 calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, SB folds, UTG calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP1 calls, UTG calls.

You checked the river with the intention of doing what?

I would've just bet/folded the river because one of these morons should've played back at you if they had a K.

personally i dont think you were aggressive enough with it

i raise preflop, thats debatable, but with the poster i think its a good idea

i also bet the river

Avoiding a checkraise from UTG+1, whose most logical holding is a spade draw. Players as bad as he is will incorrectly try to checkraise this river a lot. At least, that's what I remember from 2/4. At 5/10 I'd bet this river. At 2/4 I used to check it and then read the chat box as UTG+1 rants on how you should have bet the river so he could checkraise.

8-handed UTG+1 I would raise in this spot and bet/bet/bet.

The way its played it looks a tough decision whether to bet the river or not. It looks likely you have UTG beat here but MP1 could well of made a flush so bet/folding the river wouldn't be a bad idea.
