One Big Bet an Hour Question???
I have heard that a good player makes an average of 1-2 BB an hour.
I am currently playing .25-.50 cent poker on pokerstars and average about $2-5 an hour. I was wondering the theory/reasoning behind this concept, as I do not completly understand. Or am I going about interpreting it the wrong way ... |
Re: One Big Bet an Hour Question???
When your playing online it is better to use BB/100 (big bets per 100 hands), as you play more hands per hour than in live poker, and there are not any physical tells.
Online, good players can win about 3BB/100, most winning players are probably between 1-2 BB/100 At the low limits like .25/50 on pokerstars, the players are so bad you might be able to win a little more. Also, how many hands have you played? It takes about 100,000 hands before you can start to determine what your true winrate is. |
Re: One Big Bet an Hour Question???
You can't have an average of 2-5. That is a range. You need to keep strict records of your play and then see what your hourly rate is after many hours of play.

Re: One Big Bet an Hour Question???
At the micro limits averaging considerable more than 2BB/100 is NOT unusual.
The earlier poster is right however, its much more accurate online to determine your win rate by BB/100 rather than by the hour. |
