How is this possible?

Im a winning player that cashed out my winnings last week. I decided to play 25 nl for the first time in 7 months to restart a bankroll and am only up 150 in 3 days due to the fact aces have lost me 115 Dollars. Almost as much Ive made. How the hell do I play this hand at this level? I know there is variance but this is rediculous someone brand new to poker can win with aces let alone just break even with this hand. ANy advice appreciated

I don't see how being up 6 buyins in 3 days is anything to complain about.

Aces get beaten.

Re: How is this possible?

like everything else in poker it depends on the game you are in. With alot of loose calling of preflop raises you don't always want to raise 8bb because you might get called in 3 or 4 places and then get a crummy flop for your aces. In this type of game pushing is an option because you will get called most of the time which is good for you. In a passive game limp from early position hoping someone wakes up with kings or queens and you can get all in with a reraise maybe. In late position or the blinds raise twice what is in the pot, and you might get one caller. Your table image is really important too.

The donks at the lower levels will play any two, usually suited. I was heads up against a guy with T8o that reraised my flop bet with AA with his top pair tens! Of course I put him all in and he hit his 8 on the river... crap like this happens ALL the time. I almost start to wonder if pre-flop raising is even worth it anymore... it doesn't limit the field.

Wait, being up 8 buyins in 3 days is bad?

This is obviously trolling. But just in case here is excercise for you :
Generate random 1000digits 0-1 sequence. Print it. Read it. See how many ridiculous things are there like eight 1 in a row or this strange : 1010011100101 pattern.
You can never tell anything when you deal with randomness...
