Two (screw ups?) from a 6-handed Tourney

Hand #1:

Table is quite passive-retarded. Villain in this hand, though, is a semi-solid player, but gets scared of highcards with his pocket pairs and generally takes aggression at face value. Fifth hand of tourney, all stacks the same at 5500. Blinds 100/200.

Hero is dealt 7d6d

Folds to Villain who calls on button, SB raises to 400, Hero in BB calls, Villan calls.

Flop: 3d4cQh (pot: 1200)

SB checks, Hero checks, Villan checks.

Turn: 7s

SB checks, Hero checks, Villan bets 500, SB folds, Hero raises to 2000 (and prepares to push any non-scare river if called, and fold any re-raise). Villan calls.

River: 6s

Hero checks, Villan checks.

Hand #2:

Villian in this hand is aggressive player who has shown three hands in which his aggression was justified (two pocket aces, and one pocket kings that turned into a set, all of which he played hard, taking the pots down on the flop or PF when there were raises ahead of him)

Hero (t5500)
Villan (t8500)

Blinds are 100/200

Hero is dealt AdQd in SB.

Folded to Button who calls. Hero raises to 600. BB calls, button folds.

Flop: KcQc10h (pot: 1400)

Hero checks, Villan bets 600. Hero calls.

Turn: 7d (pot: 2600)

Hero checks, Villan checks.

River: Ac

Hero bets 1000, Villain pushes.

Re: Two (screw ups?) from a 6-handed Tourney

Hand 1 - I dont overly like calling the minimum raise here with such a weak holding (connectors are too low) being out of position after the flop.

Once the 7 hits id be tempted to bet out to find out where I am in the hand, the current board is not a scary looking one. The problem is when he bets you have little information, he could quite easily be slow playing trips or have ace high.

Hand 2

How many players are left?

You have to bet this flop, it is a dangerous one and the flat call after his bet gives you no further information. The river card is a bad one for your hand and fills many of his likely holdings. Its very difficult to know what to do after ther river as you have no idea as to his holding (very little anyway)
