WSOP Main Event Qualifying Costs
After blowing about 10% of my bankroll on a misguided attempt to qualify for the WSOP main event, I was curious how much everyone had spent in their own attempts (whether you have qualified or not yet).

Re: WSOP Main Event Qualifying Costs
where do you live? are you planning on playing one way or another?
i ask these questions because i bet the live satellites are easier. if it is plausible, get to vegas and at the very least you can probably win a seat for an earlier event or concentrate on sats for the main event. until 124 friends popped by and kicked in, my plans were to go early and try a couple of live satellites until i had spent $2k, then i was going to stop and just buy-in direct. if you plan on playing regardless, i think that an avg online player is much better than an avg live player so you are probably better served to get your butt out there. Re: WSOP Main Event Qualifying Costs
I live in Michigan, and I'm not going to make it out that way unless I qualify online. I'm probably close to calling it quits this time around. I figured I'd put 10% of my roll towards trying, and if not, I'll try again next year.

$1.10. I didn't qualify.

Re: WSOP Main Event Qualifying Costs
My master plan of zerg rushing the super satellites and bullying my way in fizzled out and left me with just 200 W$. On the bright side I only put $8 into the attempt.
