Using Direcway broadband for poker
 

Hi all--

I'm going to house (+dog+cat+horse) sit for my brother who lives on the other side of the boondocks. He gets broadband internet access through his DirecTV dish. It is pretty fast, but it has high latency due to the round trip to geosynchronos orbit.

Anybody played poker using Direcway? Work OK?

Hi there,

I use Direcway two way satellite to play, and find I can't play on Party, Stars, or Paradise before 8 pm or so...UB works most of the time...must be something to do with how quick theeir software reconnects after the mini disconnects that my satellite gives. It is very frustrating, and I wish i lived somewherre that had real broadband....

After 9-10 pm I have few problems, playing on all the above sites. the daytime probs are something to do with Direcway not having enough bandwidth. (unless it is raining....) Best of Luck
