party 2k NL. a turn i\'m not sure i like.

party 2k NL 9 handed

utg+1 limps, hijack $2200, a 34/15/1.7, but some of that is SH'd, minraises. i ($2250) call with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

SB calls, and EP calls.

pot about 180.

flop:A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb checks, ep checks, villian bets 200.

i make it $560, others fold, he calls quickly.

turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

he checks and has 1650 or so left.

thanks,

fsu, isn't this the prime example of when you have outs, and would hate a c/r, go to river...

it's tough to imagine him having Kx[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] unless KJ or KT. in which case he had big draw on flop, but i guess not everyone routinely 3 bets that.

if he has low flush, set, etc (anything that will play ab ig pot) you have 4 FB outs and remaining hearts. (varies) check and evalute river.

Assuming you check turn, how much are you willing to call on the river?

What does the PF min raise mean with this guy?

unfortunately, before this hand, the villian and I had yet to tango.

but his stats are decent. i recognize the name, but I have never seen him do anything great or stupid.

If you're only going to call 600max on the river then taking a river is def the way to go here. Any risk of being outdrawn by the free card is minimal and you could well be behind anyway. Even if he backdoors a straight or something he's still going to have to be cautious as he can't be sure you're not slowplaying.

I reckon you already knew what I just said. If you could explain what you were thinking here that'd be good, thanks.

Do good players often check raise turned flushes, seems to me it would let the opponent off a lil too easy. I think i check behind this and call river.

If he has bottom set, he's reraising you on the flop with that board.

His possible "Big Draw" hands are fairly limited as you hold the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] - I guess KJ/KT [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] could be scary - but he might come over the top with those on the flop as well.

I'm checking this turn anyway. If you boat up, it plays itself. If the river bricks I'm calling most bets. We really needed a read here - too bad you don't know him.

no, after more thinking and looking again at the pot size, and since he's moderately aggro, id prob. call more, esp. in the heat of battle.
