Ted Nugent's approach worked, too.

A couple months before he had to show up at the draft board, he stopped changing clothes and showering. For a month before, he ate nothing but potato chips and drank coke. For the last week, he peed and crapped in his pants. On the day he went in, he rubbed himself all over with a fish.

After failing his physical, he said, "They'll be calling up dead guys before they call me."

He had screwed up kidneys and actually needed medical treatment from his screwed up diet and stank and probably acted like a mental patient, so the Army had no regrets about refusing him.
