Pocket AA question.

First off, this isn't a bad beat post. Also, I don't have the hand history (sorry).

Blinds were 25/50
I was on the button with AA, UTG limped in, I raised to $200.
The BB called and the UTG player folded.
We each had about $800 left.
Flop came 7 8 10 rainbow. I bet 400, bb went all in, I called.
This player has yet to show down a hand (all were won without showdown), and he hasn't been in many hands. Should I have played this differently?
Results in white below.

BB had JTs, turn is a rag, river comes T. BB wins with three of a kind tens.

Umm, no it isn't, this should have been made clear by my response to 11t, but you were probably too busy flaming me to bother reading that. I wanted to know if I should have played it differently. If you're not going to say anything constructive, then don't say anything. I'm new to the game, and very new to these forums, so excuse me for asking a damn question.

you played this perfectly...this just happens from time to time if you see this guy again play with him as much as you can because he will give you ALL your money back if he keeps this up. Well played. By the way this happened to me 3 times in a row that i got pocket AA.

Re: Pocket AA question.

It's not that I got beat, if AA was a sure thing, no one would bother assigning it odds. It's just been my (limited) experience that people tend not to jam the pot with TPGK. Usually, when someone comes over the top on me like that, they have 2 pair or a set. I wasn't woried about 2 pair (given the low cards), or the straight as the player seemed to be sane enough to not call a raise with gapped connectors. But, I was really expecting to see a set. Is that line of thinking too weak-tight, dependant on reads of the player, or should I just be jamming the pot everytime and if I lose, I lose?

BTW: thanks for the quick responses.

With the pot as big as it is, and against one opponent, TPGK is a monster.

With only 2x the pot left to wager, you should not be thinking scared. I would be delighted to call his push.

In order to avoid posts looking like bad beat posts, don't post the results. There is no reason for us to know the turn and river. None at all.

Knowing his hand may be interesting, but is not necessary either, especially in the first post. Reply with his hand later maybe.

I might raise that a bit more PF...my standard is 250 at least in that situation but other then that you cant play it any differently.
