25/50 flopped flush

PokerRoom 25/50, 7 handed.

CO is slightly loose, very aggressive, especially on flop. I've seen him 3 bet a flop check raise with AK unimproved. We're both regulars at the game and he probably thinks about the same of me. UTG is the reason the game is good today, he's a typical too loose calling station.

I get Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB. UTG limps, CO raises, I call. 3 to the flop of 952 all spades. I check-raise and cap the flop against CO with UTG along for the ride.

Turn is another blank, I lead, UTG folds, CO raises, I call.

I lead the river when it blanks.

I'm curious about the turn/river bit. I used to 3 bet and lead a non-spade river, but now I think this might be better.

The turn/river idea is bad. You are losing bets and you should raise it up on the turn and lead any river, even if it's a spade. If he raises, call, but it seems to me you're losing bets on the turn.

I def reraise the turn, he could have lots of hands that he will call with like pair-spade combos.

I was going with 3 is better than 2, but I hear you. You figure any reasonable pair with or without a high spade is going to call down regardless?

My thinking was I saved a bet when I was behind to the Ace high flush, gained a bet from a weaker pair guy and was nuetral against the Ace or King draw. Apparently I should cut back on the crack.

you should be 50 dollars richer by the end of this hand most the time than when you take this line. Sets will give you action, maybe even cap if it's top set, and you want that a lot, nut flush will hurt you, oh well...

Not a limit player, but no one has mentioned what you do the times CO caps the turn. Do you call and check-call river? Or bet-call river?
