results have me second guessing my play here (detailed)

playing a live rebuy tournament at a local casino. crazy fast paced game. blinds move (almost double) every 15 minutes. past the rebuy period. i have 1500 chips. which is far less than average. blinds are only 50/100. soon they will be 100/200 then 200/500, then 500/1000. so on so forth.

i rarely play this tournament but i've been playing alot better tournament poker lately and i wanted to test some of my new found "strategy" live.

here's the hand:

folds to weak-tight kid. who limps. lady sitting next to him is pretty weak-loose calls. mr. tight limps next. and then the 4th player who has been playing pretty well in comparison also calls. sitting with my 1500 chips i see opportunity here to pick up a pot of over 500 by putting the chips in. i think to myself if i get called it will likely be by AT-AJ, or a pair 66-99. im not certain what everyone has exactly but the first kids limp range is wide, almost any face card. as with the lady. the next guy may call with medium connectors, suited connectors, high cards, pairs. as i believe with the last limper. my real concern here was that someone was sitting on a monster in the blind. so i look down at my cards and see KQs. hey, if i get called by the range im putting my opponents on I'm in good shape.

so it folds to the last limper to me, and he instantly calls with KK. there was no way in hell i put either of the last 2 limpers on any kind of power. ugh, its left me with a sick feeling all day.

was my analysis or my push that flawed in most similar situations? just a weird call there by him, or is my thinking flawed here which could be long term -EV? thanks for any serious replies in advance. the rest of you can burn in your flames.
