3 Free Books from Audible.com

This deal is taken from Fatwallet. Details are here

I picked up Phil Gordon's Little Green Book. There are a couple of other poker related books available there as well, Positively Fifth Street being one of them.

Is this legit? Anyone with a post count higher than 100 verify?

I didn't use this link, but I signed up for their free trial (2 free audio books) the other week, cancelled it right away after I downloaded the books and never got charged.

I did the same thing after I downloaded 3 books. Account can be cancelled online effective immediately. Also, in that link that I provided there's a good summary on how to convert Audible files to MP3. Very quick and easy.

nice find!

Re: 3 Free Books from Audible.com

There's a link to "Account Details" at the top right corner. Under membership, there should be a link to the right to cancel membership. It's not longer available under my account since I canceled it already, but it should be there.

Do you have to give your credit card info for this?

yes, then cancel before the 14 day trial period is over.

Re: 3 Free Books from Audible.com

I'd recommend Positively Fifth Street by James McManus, but it's not the type of book that discusses poker strategy. So it's not educational in nature, but still a good read.

I've signed up but it's only showing that I have 1 credit available to use. How have you guys gotten 2 or 3 credits?

Don't see anything there regarding getting 1 vs 3 downloads. That was where I got the link in the first place. Thanks anyway.

Had to contact customer support to get the 2 missing credits. They did it pretty quickly.

I signed up and got the books. I won't cancel until I've figured out how to burn them to a CD, but it looks like a cool deal so far.

In fact, I may not even cancel.

Signed up, downloaded the 3 free books to Itunes and cancelled and everything worked out pretty easily. Thanks. I picked up Gordon's book, Mere Christianity, and Art of War.

BTW, I converted the files to mp3 using dbPowerAmp and the instructions listed here .

One step conversion to mp3 which was very easy to do. I tried another program called GoldWave, but it kept crashing on me. Hope this helps everyone.

Is Phil Gordon's book well suited for audio? I know it has some starting hand charts that one would have to forgo. Are there any hand examples that are skipped over or would be hard to understand without seeing them in print?

Positively Fifth Street would have no such limitations in an audio version, but I have that already.

How well would Annie Duke's book convert to audio? They have that.

And they have Jonny Magic and the Card Shark Kids which seems like a decent read. Is that all narration or are there any hand examples in there that would have to be ommitted in an audio version?
