QQ in the BB - check up
 

My VERY first hand at the table and no reads unfortunately.

Game is 6 handed 2/4 game. I get black QQ in the BB.

Folded to MP who raises, folded to me and I 3bet, mp calls.

Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

I bet, mp raises, I fold.

Without reads, I like it. Assuming he's somewhat decent, the only reasonable hands he's doing this that you beat or KQo with a diamond, TdTx, maybe 9d9x. A lot of players at this level will just call down with those, too. So I think it's reasonable to assume he has you beat.

i think it's good. do you really wanna spend another 2.5bbs to show this one down when:

A) you are likely behind

B) you have between 1 - 2 outs to catch up

C) if you are ahead, you probably have to dodge 9 cards - unless he's totally trying to float one on you, which i doubt because you're also unknown to him.

i think without a read, you're best off just dumping this and waiting for a better spot to get your money in.

Yeah thanks mr. pink. When I posted my reply I thought for a second I might have been giving up too easy and have been bullied around. But now I think it's probably a good move.
