Dan Harrington Rope-A-Dope move

I don't know if I'm missing out on alot of chips by not employing Dan Harrington's Rope-A-Dope tactic. I can't see myself only calling with TPTK past the turn, probably not even river. when the pot has been raised twice preflop, i'd usually be satisfied to take it down right there on the flop.

i usually gamble (attempt to steal) alot preflop. i'm fairly aggressive when i need to be. does the "gamble" in preflop aggression equate to the "gamble" in post-flop slowplaying? i see myself losing far too many chips my slow playing hands like the one Harrington advises.

Look at what flops. If the flop comes like K58 when I have AK i check/call most of the time. (you have a good chance to make him the second hand).
Other TPTK situations or a possible Flush/str8 on the board I bet to win it then and their, and to find out where I am in the hand.

i agree, it's not a scary flop. sometimes i'll check it. but more often than not the turn provides some sort of either flush-draw, straight-draw, or something. i don't see many situations where i'd check the turn as well. do you?

I haven't read his book yet, what's his rope=a=dope tactic?

say you have AK against a super-aggressive player. the flop comes something like K28 rainbow. he bets out, and instead of raising you just call. then on the turn, he bets out again and you just call again. then finally on the river put in your big raise.
